The average price of gas in the area is $3.78/gallon. Gas has been obscenely high for a long time now. Jim Moran’s response? Raise the gas tax.

This wouldn’t be so bad if Moran supported offshore drilling to offset the cost of the tax. But he vehemently opposes that. He uses faulty, or blatantly misleading information, to oppose it. In fact, he made the exceedingly odd (even for him) claim that drilling off the coast of Virginia would mess with…SEAL Team Six. And he voted against offshore drilling even though many of his Democrat colleagues, including Virginia Senators Mark Warner and Jim Webb, voted for it.

With gas pushing $4/gallon, do you want a tax to put it over the top? Moran does.
